Inspired by my love of the seas. this painting captures an unclose view of the turquoise waters along the Mediterranean coast of Capri in the Tyrrhenian Sea. I found these waters magical and an endless muse to my palette.

Inspired by glimpses of the deep ocean waters, I used heavy body acrylics to create texture and provide a sense of fluid motion by strokes with a palette knife.

Hand-applying gold leaf can be tedious but it is one of my favorite additions to a painting to bring about that pop factor. This abstract features the rich colors of jade and cobalt among the textured gold shimmers.

With gradients of cobalt blue to sky blue and shimmery hand-applied gold leaf, this piece can easily be a focal point in an entryway, living room, or office space. The painting’s title roughly translates in English to mean beautiful sound; this piece reminds me of sound waves. Abstract art hits a different note with everyone, however. I always love to ask, “What do you see?”
