This print was inspired by some of the natural beauty around where we live in Tennessee. It features a peaceful scene similar to one often depicted by Monet; he is one of the reasons I started painting many years ago and has influenced the melding of an impressionist style in many of my paintings. I’ve always loved roses; they hold a special place in my heart for sure. My great grandfather grew gorgeous rose bushes in his garden and my father continued to cultivate this same garden when we moved in. As luck would have it, my father-in-law is also a rosarian so the passion and drive to keep these beauties going continues. It is no wonder roses have been the center of affection for many pieces of art and literature throughout history. They are timeless, elegant, and can elicit a myriad of emotions in each person.
